BOOKING & PRICING
How do I book a charter?
You can book by calling us at 1 850-842-7267, emailing [email protected], or filling out our contact form. We'll check availability and get you on the schedule!
What is the deposit and when is it due?
We require a $100 security deposit to reserve your charter date and time. The deposit is due at booking and will be applied to your total charter cost.
How much does it cost for additional passengers?
Our base pricing includes up to 6 guests. Each additional passenger (7th through 10th) is +$50 per person. Maximum capacity is 10 guests per boat.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 48-hour notice for cancellations to receive a full refund. Weather-related cancellations are always rescheduled at no charge — your safety is our top priority.
Can I book multiple boats for a large group?
Absolutely! We have 2 boats available. If your group exceeds 10 people, we can coordinate both boats for your party. Contact us for group booking details and pricing.
WHAT TO EXPECT
What's included in the charter price?
All charters include: • USCG-licensed captain • Fuel • All safety equipment • Coolers with ice and bottled water • Navigation and sound system
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing:
• Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat
• Towels and swimwear
• Food and beverages (we provide coolers and ice)
• Camera or smartphone for photos • Any personal items you may need
• Cash tip for your captain (customary but not required)
Can we bring alcohol?
Yes! All of our charters are BYOB-friendly. We provide coolers and ice. Please drink responsibly and be aware that Florida boating laws prohibit operating a vessel while intoxicated (your captain will handle all navigation).
Is food allowed on board?
Absolutely! Feel free to bring snacks, lunch, or even a full picnic. Many guests pack sandwiches, chips, fruit, and other easy-to-eat foods. Just remember to dispose of trash properly.
Where will we go during the charter?
Most charters include time at Crab Island — Destin's famous sandbar with crystal-clear water. We can also explore the harbor, visit hidden sandbars, look for dolphins, or customize the route based on your preferences. Just let your captain know what you'd like to do!
SAFETY & LOGISTICS
Are your captains licensed?
Yes! All of our captains are USCG (United States Coast Guard) licensed and have extensive experience navigating Destin's waters. Safety is our number one priority.
What happens if there's bad weather?
Your safety comes first. If weather conditions are unsafe, your captain will contact you to reschedule at no additional charge. We monitor weather closely and make the call based on conditions, not just forecasts.
Is swimming allowed?
Yes! Swimming is one of the highlights of a Crab Island charter. The water is shallow, warm, and perfect for all ages. Life jackets are provided for children and anyone who needs them.
Are children allowed on the charters?
Yes! We love families and kids. Our charters are very family-friendly. We provide life jackets in all sizes and our captains are great with children. Parents are responsible for supervising their kids at all times.
What is the maximum capacity per boat
Each boat can accommodate up to 10 passengers maximum. This limit is strictly enforced for safety and comfort. Base pricing includes up to 6 guests, with an additional $50 per person for passengers 7-10.
CRAB ISLAND
What is Crab Island?
Crab Island is a submerged sandbar in the Choctawhatchee Bay, just off Destin Harbor. When the tide is low, the water is only waist-deep with stunning emerald-green color. It's the most popular boating destination in Destin, with floating vendors, live music, and a party atmosphere on weekends.
Can we rent water toys or floats at Crab Island?
Yes! Floating vendors at Crab Island rent inflatables, paddleboards, kayaks, and other water toys. There's also food, drinks, and souvenir vendors. Bring cash for vendor purchases.
Is Crab Island crowded?
It can be, especially on weekends and holidays during peak summer season (June-August). If you prefer a quieter experience, consider booking a morning charter or visiting on weekdays. We can also take you to less crowded sandbars if you prefer.
Are there restrooms at Crab Island?
Crab Island itself has no facilities, but there is a floating restroom barge available during peak season (it may have a small fee). We recommend using the restroom before departure.
OTHER QUESTIONS
Do you offer fishing charters?
Not in 2026. We are focusing exclusively on pontoon charters this season. We may offer fishing charters again in the future.
Can I bring my pet?
Please contact us in advance to discuss. We evaluate pet requests on a case-by-case basis depending on the animal, size, and temperament. Service animals are always welcome.
What if someone in my group gets seasick?
The good news is that most of our charters are in calm, protected waters (harbor and bay), so seasickness is rare. If someone is prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking medication 30 minutes before departure. Let your captain know and they'll do their best to keep things smooth.
Do you offer private charters?
All of our charters are private! You're never sharing the boat with strangers. It's just your group and your captain.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak season (May-September) and weekends. Popular time slots fill up quickly. However, we sometimes have last-minute availability, so it never hurts to call and ask!
